Cengage
2012-2015
Cengage Learning is a global edtech company and one of top 5 largest textbook publishers in the US, serving about 16M users across 100+ countries.
For 3 years, I managed the development of print and digital products for Psychology and Counseling lists.
Psychology & Counseling products
Published 15+ titles in print and online with supplementary educational content
I worked with authors and subject matter experts to bring their knowledge to life in both traditional print and new interactive formats online (e.g., learning management systems, videos, quizzing, and instructor supplements). I oversaw the entire content production cycle, including publishing schedules and budgeting. Take a look at some of the titles I helped deliver to our customer base.
Investigate Development for MindTap
Giving psych students more interactive ways to study human development
I managed content and external development teams for a digital product called Investigate Development. Investigate Development is a series of case studies that goes beyond the page. The tool asks students to analyze evidence, answer questions, and draw conclusions based on what they've seen and read. Watch a highlight reel of how it works.
Helper Studio for MindTap
Assisting students in developing counseling skills through interactive videos
I helped design, research, and perform focus groups for an interactive prototype called Helper Studio. Through roleplay, students can better practice their preferences as helpers in the fields of counseling and social work. The real-world scenarios in Helper Studio give students the opportunity to explore a variety of techniques and styles. Watch a video about the final product.
